+Hysteria in Queensland+ by MaliciousMisery +Hysteria in Queensland+ by MaliciousMisery
I am so keen on the back of Alice's dress when she is in Hysteria mode, felt like I should have it be a decent part of the focus for a drawing for one.

Prismacolor pencils as usual.

I love how smooth you got the colors on this piece. Did you use a blending stick at all? Also great idea to focus on the back of the dress, not many pay attention to the details of the back so it's nice to highlight another perspective once in a while!

Thank you :D I am terribly fond of her hysteria dress.

I actually find that the blending pencils tend to break down the color sort of? I usually press hard as hell to make sure it's smooth and no white paper shows through.  I go from darkest to lightest when using color pencils also, rather than use a blender I just use the lighter shaded pencil that came before each color if that makes any sense lol. maliciousmisery.deviantart.com… it is from 2007 but the process is still basically the same even though the coloring ability is crappier then. It is the only way I can think of to show it visually for I lack the verbal expertise to explain in words well enough XD.
